ideas and inspiration for my music video.

I used various different music videos and film clips for my inspiration for my music video for example, I used the 'La La Land'- by Demi Lovato video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmjO1p9Oxrk for my what I would like to call the celebrity bit of my music video. the camera is a close-up of Aysia looking at a magazine with Kate's face on it, and acts like the shocked fan in the video which is shown around 1:05. I also used the framing clips of the camera taking pictures of Demi (shown around 1:00) for my inspiration for my own camera taking a picture of Kate and Aysia. I also used the mid-close ups of Demi singing (which is seen throughout the music video) for my own inspiration of Kate singing, and used Demi's fans reaction at 0:44 for a starting point to how Kate's fan (Aysia) reacted to Kate.

I used clips from Lindsay Lohan's 'Over' video for my inspiration for some of my drum play such as the clips where you can not see my face, (this can be viewed at 0:47 and1:57) I also used the extreme close up of Lindsay singing in the video (0:55 and at 1:37) for my inspiration of Kate's extreme close-up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqRXFf4uOpM

I used clips from Jo Jo's 'Leave, Get Out' video for my inspiration for some of my guitar shots ( the clip i used seen through out her video).

For the clip when Kate walks down the corridor in her school uniform I used Demi Lovato's 'Don't Forget' music video for inspiration. (1:04-1:35) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSoQAGQDCgs

I also used clips from Demi's 'Here We Go Again' Video for inspiration for my 'break-up scene', such as the when the camera goes into an over the shoulder shot and then a long shot of Demi ripping up her picture with her boy friend (0.17-0:21) the jump cut in that part of the video is also an editing technique that I used as my own, apart from I went from a mid shot to an over the shoulder shot, and the medium close-up side shot of Demi singing at (1:37 and 1:53) is similar to my side shot of Kate singing. My guitar shots are also similar to the guitar shot form the video which can be seen at (1:57), and I also used the extreme close-up of Demi singing (2:00) for inspiration for my own extreme close-up of Kate.

Avril Lavigne's video for 'Complicated' for my inspiration for Kate looking though clothes, the clip can be seen by this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdsOEG647QA of her video at (2:01)

For my MP election I used 'Ghetto Superstar' by Pras feat Mya, for inspiration, the president bit is at the being of the video from the link below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKq5Tv8uK7I
I used clips from Ashlee Simpson-Wentz's pop video for Boyfriend, for a starting point on some of my angles on the guitar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKyGyXlHS9Y

I used Cassie Thompson's 'Caught up in you' music video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0D2c4W4Y8Ow&feature=related for inspiration for the break up scene, such as clips when Kate is standing with her "boy friend" Roberto, is influenced by scenes where Cassie is with her "boy friend" Taylor Lautner, in various clips throughout the music video. The other woman role is also influenced by this video in clips such as (0:40-0:47) and the jump cut with the close-up of hands (in my version they held a rose) at 1:50-1:54 where a medium close of their faces was shown, was an editing technique that I used during my scene. I also used the clip of Taylor running away at (2:04) for my music video but did this in a mid shot instead of an aerial shot.
I also used the argument between Taylor and the other girl (2:05-2:10) for inspiration for the scene where Kate is angry with Roberto, however I did this in a mid shot rather then a long shot. I also used the jump cut from a long shot of Taylor (Roberto in mid shot) walking away , to a mid-close up shot (of Cassie/the other other woman) to another long shot (of the couples together Taylor and Cassie / Roberto and I) ( 2:19-2:22)

I also used a music video made by Taylor Lautner to the song apologize by Timberland and One republic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGVWL3KybTE for my inspiration for the burring ballot papers and degree. (his clip can be seen at 2:37-2:39 where the fire in on the right hand-side of the screen, and at 2:44-2:45 where the fire is at the top of the screen and at 3:22-3:25 where the fire is on the bottom left hand corner of the screen).

I used the song 'SOS' by the Jonas Brothers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JUvbJekM88 as the inspiration for the scene in my music Video where Kate takes a phone out of her pocket to look at a text message that Roberto sent her, saying that its over between them. This is similar to Kevin taking out a phone and reading a text message that says, roughly the same thing (0:55-1:00) I also used the similar cuts from this sequence in my own music video, as his shots went from a mid-close up of him looking at the phone (Kate does roughly the same thing) to a shot of the phone and then a mid-close up of his reaction (kate has a close-up instead as I feel this will emphasise her feelings more), he also chucks the phone in the bin at (1:03-1:04) which is similar to Kate chucking the phone. The guitar shot at the used toward the end of this video was also my inspiration for a lot of my guitar shots, such as a canted guitar at (2:08) is similar to my shots of Aysia on the black stairs.

The Jonas Brothers also inspired me with their 'Paranoid' video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtQpu11ZNGI&feature=PlayList&p=53C8DD80127B5BB6&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=14 ; as each brother has their own individual story as in all JoBro videos therefore It enabled me to make separate stories for each of the members of 'The Echos". The guitar clip at (0:23 and 2:28) is similar to mine of Aysia on top of the black stairs, and sitting on the bench. Also the clips of individual band members playing through the drums at ( 0:20 and 1:13) is similar to the same shot of Kate. The aerial shot of the drummer (0:26 and 2:24) inspired the shot of an aerial shot of me on the drums. The shot of all the Brothers at (0:37, 0:58, 1:10 and 2:17) inspired my establishing shot. The shot of Joe at (1:11, 3:17 and 3:25) inspired the shot of Kate singing side on. Joe and Nick's facial expressions inspired me to direct Kate into having an expressive face full of passion throughout her singing. The shot of Nick at (1:58, 2:11, 2:22 and at 2:48) inspired the extreme close-up of Kate while she sang, I also used the clip of Joe bopping his head to the music (0:15) to influence the clips of Kate bopping her head to the music.

The Jonas Brothers 'Fly With Me' video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un-KTpvCPXo inspired the shot where kate is looking through clothes in a mid-shot as this is similar to the shot of Kevin at (1:05) I also used the edit where you see Kevin preforming and then see him backstage, by showing clips of my band members then their story. I used the clip of Nick playing the drums at (1:24) as my inspiration for some of the drum shots, however mine were closer as I was in a confined area, with limited space.

The Jonas Brothers movie '3-D concert Experience' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiVjEdIwMHU
inspired the chase scene at the end of music video. 4:24-6:28 the use of mid shots, long shot and shot-reverse shot edits inspired, gave the ideal platform to show my band as successful.

I used Taylor Swift's 'You belong with me' Video for inspiration on the locations in my music video as she uses her little Brother's school, i used my school in most of my video, clips at 1:22 is similar to Kate sitting on the bench. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuNIsY6JdUw

and finally I used britney spears video 'Hit me baby one more time' for Kate's school uniform bit, when she is walking down the corridor, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKo4fFVymqk.

High School Musical was also a big inspiration as it is made in a school, and so is my music video, also my target market likes the film. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LepPGcEnDw
